OPPORTUNITY PROFILE – ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
The Economic Development Council (“EDC”) of Okaloosa County is seeking to fill the role of Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant is a part-time, hourly position supporting all EDC staff members. The position reports directly to the Executive Director with additional oversight by the Associate Director and Director of Business Expansion. Duties include serving as the first point of contact for greeting visitors, answering/routing telephone calls, responding to basic EDC information requests and updating community demographics/research data. Additional duties include developing/posting content to EDC social media accounts, ordering office supplies and assisting with coordination for EDC events / investor meetings.
The standard schedule is 9am – 1pm, Monday-Thursday, 16 hours/week excluding holidays. (The position does not report on Fridays). There is periodic deviation from the standard schedule to accommodate / support external meetings with advance notice provided.
The approved hourly compensation for this position is $14.00/hr. Additionally, business-related mileage is reimbursed at the Federal rate – currently set at .545 cents per mile.
